Easter 2009

This year Stephen's birthday was on Easter weekend. On friday night I had a surprise birthday celebration for him. He didn't have a clue! Mam and Dad are in town so I used them as an excuse to go out for dinner - just the 4 of us. The restaurant was really crowded when we arrived so Stephen didn't have a chance to see everyone until the last minute. It was a lot of fun - he really wasn't expecting to see all our friends waiting for him. The food was great and afterwards we headed to the Mermaid for some drinks. Then on Sat, to celebrate his real birthday, Mam and Cliona made a chocolate bunny cake that Stephen, Cliona and I decorated with frosting, jelly beans and candy.
Cliona was up bright and early on Easter sunday to see if the Easter bunny had arrived. We had a little easter egg scavenger hunt to her easter basket and also hid our decorated eggs in the garden. After we had our fill of chocolate we went off on a speedboat ride. Mam and Dad decided to wait for us on dry land while we took the 30 mins thrill ride. It was a lot of fun - Clio had a great time. She even enjoyed getting sprayed!
