Out to dinner

Off to the park

We stopped at the park before heading to dinner to work up an appetite.

Clio got an early Easter present from her Nan and Granda - a little chicken. When you press his wing he starts to walk and blasts out the chicken dance. Clio loves him - she danced like crazy with him, showered him with kisses and even let him walk up her tummy. She put him her stroller to take him for a walk and then he went into her highchair where she requested a bib for him so he could share her apple. She really loves that little chicken - I don't think anyone else has made it into the highchair!

Beach time

Day at the Aquarium

Dad, Cliona and I headed off the aquarium where Cliona got to pet the rays and sharks and Dad fed lorikeets. Clio and I like to go there every few weeks so she was well able to show Granda around.
I'm not sure who had the better time, Nan and Granda or Cliona. They were all happy as clams when we got back - it was great to see them so relaxed and easy with each other.

Nan showed us a new game - playing at the sink with bubbles and cups.

Cliona has a great time with Nan and Granda while we were away - they did a lot of playing in the park. Here are some of the highlights ...

Nan and Granda looked after Cliona while Stephen and I headed off to Park City to go snowboarding. The snow was a little slushy as it was quite warm but we had a great time anyway.

Grinning with Mammy and swinging with Daddy.

Clio was excited enough when Nan and Granda came to visit so when Grandpa and Aunt Kristin arrived too she was doubly thrilled. It was great to see everyone - my Mam and Dad hadn't seen Graham and Kristin since our wedding so it was fun to catch up. We all sampled Grahams new hand softener and gave it the thumbs up - smelled great too.

It was such a nice weekend that we took out Clio's pool and put it at the end of her slide. All her water toys had a go before she decided to check it out for herself. After the initial shock of being splashed she had a great time sliding and splashing.
