Pre Christmas fun!

December started off with a trip to see how our little lad is doing. I'm 24 weeks pregnant now and he is looking great. You can see on the ultrasound how he is starting to fill out a little, especially his little chubby cheeks - so cute! Cliona is still really sweet and often gives my tummy kisses and cuddles.

December also kicked off the Christmas season. We put up our tree as soon as we got back from Paso Robles and Clio had a great time hanging decorations and putting the fairy on the top. She is very much aware of Santa and his elves this year. She fell off a chair and banged her leg a couple of days ago and after a few minutes of tears, turned to me and said 'Do you think Santa's elves saw that Mommy?'. I think she reckons she's due a couple of extra presents after such a hard fall :) We've been watching all the Christmas specials and right now Cliona's favourite game to play is the Grinch. And of course, she is always 'Cindy Lou Who, who is no more than two' and I am always the Grinch.

We spent the weekend of Dec 4th up in Big Bear with Gk, Kerry, Avery and Kat. There was plenty of snow for the girls to play in and Cliona and Avery took a ski lesson together. They did so well - I was amazed. After 15mins of watching them walk around with one ski on, Stephen, Kerry and I decided to retire to the bar. We came back out to watch again for the last 30mins and we couldn't find them! They were on the chairlift! And then proceeded to ski down the bunny slope all by themselves! It was so awesome to see! And they liked it - Cliona even agreed to more lessons. That really made my weekend - to think we could be skiing together next year, pretty kool!

Once back in Redondo, we kept the winter activities going with a trip to the ice-ring. We met up with Clio's friend Connor and they had a great time skating and slipping and sliding. Clio even managed a solo skate towards the end! Well done little girl - skiing and skating all in one month!

November 2009

With Mam and Dad in town we designated Fridays as 'Nan and Grandad' day. Cliona got to spend the whole day with her grandparents while Stephen and I headed off to work. The weather was nice and warm so they could go to the park and play out in the back garden - two of Clio's favourite things to do!

We also got to explore a little of Los Angeles - one day we headed up to the Griffith park observatory. Another, Dad and I paid a visit to the Huntington gardens and library.

Avery and Kat celebrated their birthdays with a 'Pump it up' party. It's a room full of different kinds of bouncers - so much fun for kids and adults alike.

Unfortunately Mam and Dad's trip was cut short so they did not make it up to Paso Robles for thanksgiving. We had a lovely time catching up with Chris and Kathy and meeting little Parker. We did a little wine tasting and got to participate in the town's annual light festival. Mrs Claus and the Grinch were there along with lots of elves and carol singers. Cliona even got to dance with some elves - fun times!
