July 2009

Plenty to keep the Philp family busy in July. We spent the 4th here in Redondo - watched the fireworks down on Hermos beach strand which was a complete sucess! Cliona was at least 2 miles from the nearest firework display so there were no loud 'boom booms' to frighten her so she really enjoyed the whole display.
Then Grandma came to stay and the fun really began. Stephen, Dana and I headed off for the weekend to raft the American river while Karen stayed home with the 3 girls. Gk and Kerry spent their free weekend in Santa Barbara so a great time was had by all.

Cliona ready for her swim class. They are going really well this year. Cliona is doing great - diving for rings, putting her face in the water, floating on her back and even begining to kick. We have been going to the public pool at the weekends too to give her more practice and playtime. It's great to see her getting more and more confident in the water.



Cliona's school has a great summer program - there seems to be something going on every day with lots of opportunity for dress-up.
