2 months old ?

Already? Brian is smiling, sticking out his tongue and cooing. But the best news is that he is sleeping through the night. It's been 6 nights now so I feel safe enough posting this. He has grown out of all is newborn clothes and is wearing a size 2 diaper. He is not on a strict schedule and some days he sleeps a lot, some days not so much. He loves to be manipulated - Stephen and I wiggle and move his legs and arms and he smiles and coos at us. We are only giving him one extra bottle these days, he was a whopping 14 lbs at his 2 month checkup so he is getting plenty of food.

We've had lots of visitors to share in Brian's firsts and help out. My parents were here for most of April. They loved cuddling with Brian of course and Dad did wonders with our garden. It looks beautiful - thanks! Cliona loved having her grandparents stay, especially playing with her Nan!

We celebrated Stephen's b-day with a beach day. It was cold and windy but Brian did really well. Then Stephen played with The Conaleys at the Whisky a Go Go. It was a brilliant night out - Stephen rocked and had a great time. To think he was on the same stage as legends like The Doors and Jimi Hendrix!!
For Cliona's 5th birthday we had a party at Chuck E Cheese. All her friends came to celebrate and it was much easier than the previous back-yard parties. Clio got to meet Chuck E Cheese but if you asked her what her favorite part was she'll tell you it was playing with Mackey. Mac or 'Mackey' is definitely the flavor of the month. She talks about him all the time and colors pictures to bring him at school. It's funny to listen to her chatter on about him. In fact, ever since she found out she'll be a flower-girl in Dana and Dave's wedding she has been very interested in all things wedding/relationship. We've watched countless wedding-related videos on youtube, she plays 'getting married' with her Barbies all the time and she loves practicing being a flower-girl.

Now that the evenings are staying bright, Cliona is also having a great time jumping on her new trampoline, driving around in her electric car, riding her bicycle to the park and playing in her cannon-ball pool.
In May Grandma came to stay - she also got lots of cuddle time in with Brian and we got into a nice routine of dropping Cliona off at school and then taking a walk along the strand in Hermosa.
We celebrated Mother Day/Dana's birthday weekend with Dana, Dave, Gk, Kerry and the girls.

We got to celebrate Karen's birthday with a fun Italian dinner. And Dave's Mom, Kris, flew in for the weekend to meet all of us. Oh, and let's not forget Cliona's screen-test - that was pretty fun too. Karen was approached in Toys R Us by a girl saying how pretty Cliona was and would she be interested in acting/modeling. I called and it seemed legit so off we went on a Sunday afternoon to check it out! Cliona was given a line to memorize "Mom, Dad, guess what? Just one cavity and look what the dentist gave me!" and she did great! She did really great! Was able to recite her line and was really friendly and outgoing to all the staff. Turns out the test was for an intermediary company that sets you up with acting lessons and workshops and then sets up screen-tests with talent agencies. Of course there was a fee involved and they wanted Stephen, Clio and I to attend a 3 hour meeting without Brian. So that was the end of that but Karen, Clio and I had a good time checking it out.
