Christmas and New Years

Marry Christmas and a Happy New Year! A little late but sure that's the way it goes sometimes.

We had a fantastic couple of weeks over Christmas. Cliona and I spent a day a Knotts Berry farm the week before Christmas. She got to go on some rides and we saw the 'Snoopy on Ice' show. It was the first time either of us had been to an ice-skating show and we loved it.

We spent Christmas at Gk's with Karen and Dana. Gk and Kerry hosted a fun night on the 23rd - cooked lots of delicious chili, had some friends come over for a gift exchange and played rock band. Then on Christmas Eve we went out caroling with the same group. It was great - really got everyone in the Christmas spirit and the girls were nice and tired by the time we got home.

Cliona and Avery slept in the same room and were SO cute when they woke up on Christmas morning. It must have been about 6:30am when they woke and somehow they persuaded each other to go back to bed until 7! By that time, everyone was ready to go and see what Santa had left. Cliona and Avery were so amazed that Santa had actually come. They both got bikes so later we took them out for their first ride. They both did great and were pedaling away in no time. We had a fun day opening presents, eating good food, enjoying good company.

The next day we headed upto Big Bear with Karen and Dana. It took a long time to get up there but there was tons of snow and hardly anyone on the mountain. It was a short trip - a little snowboarding, a little sledding and then back to LA for some sunshine :)

We spent the rest of the holidays in LA - we put Cliona's see-saw together, played some volleyball, had a fantastic lunch at the Bel Air hotel (thanks Dave) and rang in the New Year with friends (thanks again for babysitting Grandma).
