We make it up to the beginner area and walk up the slope a little. We get Cliona into her skiis and position her inside mine. And away we go!!! She seemed to enjoy it but 1/2 way up the hill second time around she was done. Until she saw the chair lift that was .... Then it was all about going 'high in the sky' and so we decided to risk it - why not? It's a beginner slope at the begining of the season. She did great! Loved being on the lift and it was easy lifting her off at the top. Best part was that she actually liked going fast on the way down. Not all that interested in going by herself but she's got time.
Orla and I have decided to use our vacation next year to do something different. We will be collecting money for a charity in Peru and then visiting the recipients. I created a blog to share things as we go. You can read more about how it's going and why we decided to do it: http://donationvacation.blogspot.com
Over Thanksgiving we went to the zoo - Mary was visiting and Cliona hadn't been for nearly a year (it is a bit of a drive to be fair). Anyway, it was brilliant. There were all the usual suspects along with tiger cubs and gorilla's. Check out the video of the gibbons - I couldn't believe an animal could make such an electronic sounding noise.
