Christmas 2010
Christmas in San Diego was fantastic! Santa was good to everyone and yet again brought tons of balloons for Avery. That was all Brian needed for a very merry first Christmas. He crawled after them, grabbed at them, tried to eat them - he was all about those balloons! He is now up and cruising along the furniture.
Cliona had a great time with her cousins. Herself and Avery are the best of friends and are both really into all things science. Clio also loves dinosaurs right now - Dino Dan is her favorite tv show.
She is also really into the Junie B Jones book series - she keeps choosing them on library day. I must admit I do not like the series one bit. Clio knows this and it's gotten to be a bit of a joke where she comes home on Wednesdays with a new Junie B Jones book and I say 'Oh No, not another Junie B Jones book" and make a bit of a fuss. She thinks this is hilarious! In my defence, Junie B is not a very likable character and the grammar in the books is dreadful. I think it is supposed to be written as a kindergartner would speak but I refuse to read it as such. Here's a quick example "I patted her very sympathetic" OR "I did a sigh". Oh well, I'm sure Cliona will grow out of the Junie B series soon enough. But until then, I will be reading "I patted her sympathetically" AND "I sighed".
