Clio and I are doing a music and signing class - so far she loves the music part and has begun to do the sign for 'more'. Hopefully the signing will be a way for us to communicate before her language skills kick in.

February in Big Bear

All the Philp's headed upto Big Bear for some snowboarding and catching up. We spent the first couple of days snowboarding while Grandma watched the little ones. It was great to be back on the mountain and as it was mid-week, we had the place to ourselves. But the best part was yet to come - it snowed!! It was the first time Cliona had ever seen snow - Avery saw it last year but this time she got to play in it a little and sled. The sledding was fabulous - we found the perfect hill near the house and everyone had a go - even Clio got to go with her dad. That evening it snowed some more so the next day we bundled up again and hit the big hill at the local school. It was steep and fast and so much fun. Everyone had a go before it was time to head back and pack up. It was wonderful to see everyone again and watch Cliona and Avery together.

Gk and Kerry got us a membership to the zoo for Christmas so off we went to check it out - here we are petting the goats. Cliona loved being somewhere new but I think she was more interested in the humans than the animals - she certainly loved riding around on her daddy's shoulders. It was a great family day out.

Clio wasn't too interested in the animals but she loved being somewhere new.
